The annual incidence rate of new and recurrent genital warts is nearly 200 per 100,000 people\/year. The combined global HPV prevalence in men is 31% for any HPV type and 21% for high-risk HPV. [<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?source=gmail&amp;sa=E&amp;q=https:\/\/medinet.hochiminhcity.gov.vn\/phong-chong-dich-benh\/tphcm-trien-khai-ke-hoach-hoat-dong-phong-chong-cac-nhiem-khuan-lay-truyen-qua-c2-72380.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"23\">6<\/span><\/a><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"24\">]<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Risk_Factors\"><\/span><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"25\">2. Risk Factors<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"26\">Genital warts are primarily transmitted through sexual intercourse (vaginal, anal, oral) with an infected person, or through skin-to-skin contact during sex. Additionally, the disease may be transmissible through indirect contact with virus-contaminated personal items such as clothing, towels, or sex toys. Transmission can occur even without obvious warts or symptoms, as the incubation period often lasts from 2 weeks to 8 months, with an average of 2-3 months after infection. The HPV strains that cause genital warts can also co-exist with high-risk HPV strains, which have the potential to cause cancer (cervical, penile, anal, oropharyngeal, oral, and tongue cancers).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Typical_Symptoms\"><\/span><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"43\">3. Typical Symptoms<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"44\">General symptoms in both men and women include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstList\">\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"45\">Appearance of warts:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"46\">\u00a0This is the most characteristic symptom. Initially, the warts are often tiny, pink or white bumps, soft, causing no pain or itching.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"47\">Location of appearance:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"48\">\u00a0Warts usually appear in the genital area, around the anus, or in the surrounding region. However, they can also grow in other locations such as the oral cavity, throat, lips, tongue (due to oral sex).<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"49\">Wart development:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"50\">\u00a0Over time, the warts may grow larger, merge together into patches, taking on shapes resembling a rooster&#8217;s comb, cauliflower, or clusters of grapes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"51\">No pain in the early stage:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"52\">\u00a0In the early stage, warts typically cause no pain or itching, leading many people to be complacent and ignore them.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"53\">May bleed or discharge pus:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"54\">\u00a0When the warts grow large and are rubbed, they can easily become scratched, bleed, or discharge fluid with a foul odor, causing discomfort and risking secondary infection.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"55\">May be accompanied by symptoms of other sexually transmitted diseases.<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"31_Symptoms_of_Genital_Warts_in_Men\"><\/span><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"56\">3.1. Symptoms of Genital Warts in Men:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"57\">In men, genital warts commonly appear in the following locations:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstList\">\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"58\">Penis:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"59\">\u00a0Including the penile shaft, glans, coronal sulcus, and foreskin.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"60\">Scrotum:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"61\">\u00a0Warts can grow on the scrotal skin.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"62\">Anus and rectum:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"63\">\u00a0Especially common in men who have sex with men or engage in anal sex.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"64\">Groin, thighs:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"65\">\u00a0Warts can spread to the surrounding skin areas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\"><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"66\">Urethra:<\/span><\/strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"67\">\u00a0In some cases, warts can grow inside the urethra, causing difficulty or pain during urination, or bleeding during urination.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"32_Symptoms_of_Genital_Warts_in_Women\"><\/span><strong><span class=\"appsElementsGenerativeaiAstAnimated\" data-ast-node-id=\"68\">3.2.
