Dr. Mai Cong Danh is a leading expert in the fields of Pediatrics and Neonatology. He earned his Medical Doctor degree and his Master’s degree in Pediatrics from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City. With nearly 20 years of dedicated service in the Neonatology Department at Hung Vuong Hospital – one of the largest maternity and pediatric centers in Ho Chi Minh City – Dr. Cong Danh currently serves as the Deputy Head of Neonatology. In this role, he directly oversees the treatment and care of premature infants from the very first hours after birth through their hospital discharge and outpatient follow-ups.

Dr. Danh’s clinical expertise is specifically focused on four core areas:

– Neonatal Resuscitation & Intensive Care (NICU): Managing delivery room emergencies and stabilizing premature and extremely low birth weight infants during critical, high-risk periods.

– Non-Invasive Respiratory Support: Applying and optimizing advanced methods such as Nasal Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (nCPAP) and High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) to protect lung function and minimize pulmonary damage in preterm infants.

– Diagnosis & Treatment of Complex Neonatal Pathologies: Expertly managing neonatal sepsis, metabolic disorders, and a wide range of internal medical conditions during the earliest stages of life.

– Applied Clinical Research: Leading and participating in pivotal scientific studies on neonatal respiratory support, significantly contributing to the standardization of evidence-based treatment protocols at Hung Vuong Hospital.
