A. Care Goals for Mom:

  • Ensure comprehensive recovery of physical health, mental health, and maternal function, while detecting and managing postpartum complications early.
  • Here are 10 examination and consultation points for the mother by the Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN):

1. Obstetric History Review:

  • Health history, pregnancy-related illnesses
  • Labor and delivery process (vaginal/C-section)
  • Postpartum complications (if any)
  • Current medications (if any)

2. General Examination:

  • Assessment of vital signs (heart rate and blood pressure)
  • Heart, lung, and general physical examination
  • Blood glucose measurement (if needed)

3. Gynecological Examination:

  • Assessment of lochia (color, amount, odor), early detection of abnormalities
  • Counselling to prevent lochia retention in the uterus
  • Assessment of uterine involution, early detection of abnormalities
  • Assessment of pelvic organ prolapse, early detection of abnormalities
  • Checking for signs of inflammation and infection, and other abnormalities

4. Examination and Care of Wounds and Sutures:

  • Inspection and guidance on caring for episiotomy stitches and C-section incisions
  • Dressing change and suture removal (if any)
  • Pain assessment
  • Checking for signs of infection
  • Prescribing pain relievers, anti-inflammatories, antibiotics… (if needed)

  • Ensure optimal health, physical development, and immunity through examination, monitoring, and guiding parents to care for the baby with Safety – Science – Love.
  • Here are 6 examination and consultation points by the Pediatrician:

1. Comprehensive Examination:

  • Respiratory Examination: Checking breathing rate, detecting abnormalities such as difficulty breathing, wheezing…
  • Cardiac Examination: Checking the baby’s heart rate, detecting abnormalities.
    Skin Examination: Assessing for jaundice and external skin issues such as eczema, heat rash, diaper rash.
  • Digestive Examination: Guidance on detecting and managing issues such as spitting up, abdominal distension/bloating, diarrhea, constipation…
  • Abdominal/Umbilical Examination: Detecting issues such as umbilical infection, umbilical hernia…
  • Eye Examination: Assessing the baby’s ability to move their eyeballs…
  • Genitourinary Examination: Detecting abnormalities such as phimosis (tight foreskin) in boys, labial adhesion in girls.

  3. After-Hours Surcharge:
    • After 7:00 PM (19:00): Surcharge 100,000 VND
    • After 9:30 PM (21:30): Surcharge 200,000 VND
  4. Overtime Surcharge for Home Visits: 100,000 VND / 15 minutes.
